Ghoul Digger
The restaurant in Ghoul Town needs help gathering ingredients. Go to the graveyard and dig up some tasty remains! The shovels here are pretty whack so they don’t last for more than a few uses, make sure you have enough to bring home as much loot as possible. Each day the graveyard is a little different, and you can only visit one per day. Sleep in the bed to advance to the next day. The chef will pay you for your trouble and… that’s pretty much it so far.
Walk with WASD, interact with E. I recommend using a controller with analogue sticks for movement. A is interact and X is jump, but it's flipped for me when exported to the browser ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The player does not have any mage powers, I just liked the look of the hat :)
This is the first time I've tried making a game. I don't really have any experience with programming or game development so I'm surprised I managed to take it as far as I did. I enjoyed the experience a lot so hopefully I'll get around to adding some of the missing features and polishing the overall experience.
I didn't get to implement all the mechanics I wanted. I was working on a tool mechanic for using shovels and some other tools. In this build I just have a tool and day counter in the lower right corner so you can tell what’s going on. One shovel has 3 durability. If you get more shovels it just adds to that counter right now. The other part that's missing are the enemies. I thought it might be interesting to balance fighting enemies with your shovels and digging up graves. Both would consume durability so if you wanted to maximise loot, you'd have to be good at dodging the enemies. The graveyard is very barebones (haha) right now, so I think it'll be my main focus when updating the game. And of course right now the "town" is really just one building, I'd like to expand it a lot. The player should get to sleep in a house and not on a bed outside and the shop should be an actual shop and not just a merchant standing in a field.
Special thanks:
The 3D models are by Kay Lousberg (various packs).
The BGM is "Futuristic Science Dungeon" by Slaleky
The circle wipe shader is by agurkas.
Grass texture from FreeStylized.

I'm impressed that you went for a 3d game for your first ever attempt at making a game, and it turned out pretty cool! I also appreciate getting to jump and having a trampoline when its not necessary to the gameplay. Every game I think should have a random thing just to do while you're walking around. The dialogue is funny and the characters are very cute, I just wanna be friends with these ghouls.
This is so impressive for your first game with no programming experience in 10 days omg. I would also be super interested in a larger game because the loop of going out/finding random bones/coming back and walking around town and bouncing on a trampoline is already fun!!
Really enjoyed my time in this - the movement feels really good and I think you've nailed the slightly spookier Animal Crossing aesthetic down to the tone and the fixed camera and everything. I really liked the sense of humour as well. You've got some impressive gameplay systems down - I would love to see what you do with it if you keep developing it. And thank you for including the trampoline. Love a trampoline.
The trampoline was the result of precious time lost getting sidetracked with jumping mechanics when I already knew from the very beginning that I did not need jumping in my game lol. Just kidding, it's actually vital to take a bouncy break when the grave digging gets too monotonous!
jumping is always vital. I will always be jumping if I can
